Following grazing trails, through mountain meadows, it ends with the climb to one of the highest points of the Serra do Gerês (1234m), which makes this mountain the 12th highest in the Serra (50th highest in mainland Portugal).
Along the way you will be able to observe much of the natural and cultural heritage characteristic of the region, with particular emphasis on Vezeira (community method of organizing work with cattle).
From the top of this mountain we can see the western part of the Serra do Gerês, such as the Pé de Medela peak, Borrageiro, Tónel, Piorneiro, Alto de Modorno and Chã da Presa. We were able to see the Serra Amarela, this one just across the Vilarinho das Furnas Dam and where you can easily identify the Cruz de Touro and Louriça and to the south, the immense valley of the Cávado River and the Caniçada reservoir.
Once there, it is still possible to contemplate the ridges of the Serras de Arga, Peneda, Soajo, Gerês, Cabreira, Larouco and, sometimes, the sea ...
