SUMMARY:Pai Velho - Entrudo in Lindoso
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row wrapper_container=”no-container”][vc_column][rev_slider_vc alias=”evento-moinhos-de-sta-isabel-1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row wrapper_container=”no-container”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]It takes place every year in Lindoso\, the celebration of Pai Velho. \nIt finds its roots in the pagan and religious tradition\, emerging as a celebration ritual at the arrival of spring. \nOn the mornings of Gordo Sunday and Carnival Tuesday\, near the community threshing floor and the granaries and also near the Medieval Castle\, Pai Velho (wooden bust) is transported in an ox cart\, accompanied by concertina sweeps\, drums\, tools and castanets\, not to mention the masks of revelers\, disguised with traditional costumes. \nAt midnight on Tuesday the Old Father is buried and the will is read. \nO Parque Cerdeira provides its customers with a visit to Lindoso to attend the event. \nRegistration must be confirmed at least 1 day in advance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
