Opened to the public in April 1992, Parque Cerdeira was created by Brista family, meeting new trends in tourism and the social climate after the April Revolution, naturally also marked by the high natural value of Gerês and its recognition as a National Park.

At that time, due to the lack of campsites in the region, the most attractive places were, of course, occupied by those who came to the mountain adventure. And, of course, the natural conditions that this place has – the mountain meadow and the secular oak grove, became an immense fatigue for the Brista family, every summer, explaining to the occupants that the space was private and had hissing use. – pastoral and not leisure.

Therefore, the idea of ​​the business and of creating a camping site, built by his own hands, was natural.
And he never stopped, year after year, looking for what seems to be better for the environment and for customers, as he demonstrated in the second year of operation when he realized new needs and proceeds to important improvements and the construction of the first Bungalows , using the noble materials of the region – granite and wood. The rest will be easy to understand by those who visit us, in this harmonious space that guarantees you a pleasant welcome on the mountain.
