What we changed for the safety of everyone

It is with a great sense of responsibility for the safety and well-being of all that Parque Cerdeira welcomes you!

In the current context, we are aligned with the guidelines of the General Health Directorate (DGS), following all the procedures to safeguard the health of guests and employees, as well as the local population’s.

Responsible tourism – Covid-19

We are opened to receive our customers, Parque Cerdeira and Gerês friends, always considering security and business, but conscious of the risks envolved and concerned with the aging population of our village. We will minimize the risks to the essential and we count on the help of our customers to respect yet another rule of good practices in responsible and sustainable tourism: social distancing from the population of Campo do Gerês and from our staff.

Our employees

With the objective of ensuring the safety and well-being of all, our employees assume a key role and in this sense, all members of the Parque Cerdeira receive specific training and work instructions on:

Accommodation and Activities

Main changes to our services

The sounds of Nature continue to be heard! We avoid agglomerations, limiting the capacity of the Parque Cerdeira to a maximum of 400 people.
It is mandatory to present Covid EU digital certificate or negative test result.
Groups are not allowed.
Remember that used masks and gloves should always be placed in undifferentiated waste containers.
Bring the children, but watch their activity to prevent frequent touching surfaces. Playground is for guests only.
Social rooms are closed, but nothing has changed in our natural surroundings and there is a lot to do in the Parque Cerdeira!
In the guided hikes and in the garden activities, the necessary distancing is ensured, while in archery and the adventure park only cohabitants are allowed in each group .
It is a good time to experience our electric bikes. The perfect opportunity to discover the secrets of Gerês.
By establishing a number minimum of nights of stay in this pandemic phase, we intend to reduce customer rotation and thus minimize risks for everyone.
We have enough space to easily maintain the social distance of 2 meters. In closed common spaces it is mandatory to use a mask and in outdoor spaces, whenever it is not possible to maintain safe distances.
We will refund the amount of the reservation in case there are changes that make it impossible for DGS to arrive at the Park or proven Covid-19 contamination, deducting the refund fee (3%).

Bungalows, Cabins and Rooms

We changed the check-in and check-out times in the complementary accommodation, so that we could have time to properly sanitize all spaces. Check-in can be done from 16:00 and check-out until 10:00 in bungalows, cabins and rooms.
We guarantee the hygiene and safety of our guests. The access to an accommodation unit will not be allowed without prior disinfection.
Bed linen, as well as kitchen utensils in the Bungalows, are provided according to the booking details. If you need extras you will have to ask at the reception.
A waiting time of at least 2 hours is required between the removal of bed linen and towels and the cleaning of floors and surfaces, which may result in delays to the check-in during this exceptional period.
We respect all standards for a complete disinfection of clothes and dishes available in the units.
During your stay, we recommend that you renew the air in your accommodation unit. when you check-out, leave the windows tilted to allow the ventilation of the unit.

Camping, Caravanning

For added security, the Parque Cerdeira family bathing facilities for exclusive use are available, upon prior reservation. Find out about this possibility.
At the entrance of each sanitary facility, we placed dispensers of alcohol-based solution for hand disinfection.
In the sanitary facilities, after hand washing with soap and water, you can dry them with paper towels.
The equipments in the sanitary facilities are sanitized and disinfected at least 3 times a day.
When occupying your pitch in the camping, install the material, leaving 1,5 m distance from the contiguous pitch. You will still be able to say “Good morning” to your neighbors in safety! Good Morning! to your neighbors, but safely.

Restaurant

Nothing has changed in the flavors of our dishes, which we continue to cook with the best ingredients.
We eliminated service on the counter, except for takeaway and we recommend table reservation.
We reduced the capacity of the dining room to 50 seats, in order to maintain the distance between tables.
To make you feel more secure, we have chosen to set the table in your presence.
All dishes are washed in the washing machine at a high temperature (above 80oÇ!).
The restaurant’s sanitary facilities are properly cleaned, at least 3 times a day.
